Matt Bonnette is the Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Columbia, Alabama. He is passionate about expository preaching, discipleship, and helping people develop a faithful walk with Jesus Christ.
Pastor Matt brings a unique background to ministry, having served as a U.S. Army Chaplain and Iraq War veteran, along with years of leadership experience in the private sector. His ministry style combines biblical depth, practical application, and a genuine heart for people.
He is also the author of “MANCARD,” a ministry and discipleship resource focused on developing biblical manhood through the principles found in 1 Timothy 4:12.
Pastor Matt has been married to his wife, Melissa, since 1997, and together they have been blessed with three children and two grandsons. He deeply values family and enjoys spending time with his children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren whenever possible. Whether at church, at home, or gathered around the table together, family remains one of his greatest joys and blessings from God.
Pastor Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from The Baptist College of Florida and a Master of Divinity in Church Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.
Pastor Matt’s desire is to see individuals and families strengthened through the truth of Scripture, the power of prayer, and authentic Christian fellowship.
